We are partnering with a well-established, multi-site healthcare provider based in the Midlands, offering a range of specialist services across several locations. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day finance function at the Mullingar location.
The Position:
This is a hands-on role, supporting the financial operations of a busy and growing organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with management, with support from in-house Finance Administrators and an external accountancy team.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day finance function at the Mullingar location.
The Position:
This is a hands-on role, supporting the financial operations of a busy and growing organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with management, with support from in-house Finance Administrators and an external accountancy team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including purchase and sales ledgers
- Perform bank, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations
- Assist with preparation of accounts to Trial Balance stage
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner
- Assist with credit control and debtor management
- Support payroll processing (where required)
- Assist with VAT returns and compliance requirements
- Maintain organised financial documentation and records
- Provide oversight and guidance to finance administrators
- Provide general administrative support to the finance function
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounts assistant role
- Accounting Technician qualification (or working towards) is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Positive, proactive approach
- Salary €40k - €45k commensurate with experience
