Field Service Technician
Job description
My client, a large manufacturer of bespoke automation solutions is looking to recruit a Field Service Technician/Engineer for the Dublin area.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Installation, Maintenance, and Repair: Conduct on-site installation, servicing, and repair of industrial printing and labelling equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction.

Preventive Maintenance: Execute Preventive Maintenance services on equipment at customer sites, adhering to maintenance schedules and protocols to enhance equipment lifespan and performance.

Technical Support: Provide comprehensive telephone support to customers, addressing queries, troubleshooting issues, and offering timely solutions to technical problems.

Project Assistance: Collaborate with Project Engineers on larger installations, offering technical expertise and support as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. Prepare detailed reports on equipment status and service interventions.
Requirements:

Educational Background: Possess a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering, demonstrating a strong technical foundation relevant to the role.

Experience: Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role and/or in a similar industry, showcasing proficiency in equipment installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.

Autonomy and Initiative: Exhibit the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, displaying initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in resolving technical issues and fulfilling job responsibilities.

Communication & Language Skills: It is essential you’re fluent in English (written & spoken) and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with team members and customers to convey technical information, provide assistance, and build positive relationships.

Driving License: Have a valid full EEA driving license, enabling travel to customer sites and facilitating equipment service activities.

Company Car, Phone and Laptop: Company car will be provided, and it can be used outside of work for personal use along with a company phone and laptop.
