Role Overview:
The role of General Manager is a pivotal leadership position within the company, offering a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for the country’s business operations, including sales, marketing, customer service, quality, profitability, product management, budgeting, leadership, and strategic development. This role requires a visionary leader who can navigate complex market dynamics and build strong, sustainable relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cultural Leadership:
    • Embody and promote the company’s core values and culture in all aspects of daily work.
    • Inspire and lead by example, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
       
  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Act as a visionary within the MedScience Distribution business, setting the strategic direction for the country’s operations.
    • Lead the development and execution of strategic and business development plans, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall goals.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Business Development:
    • Play a crucial role in the company’s future development by driving business development initiatives.
    • Oversee the identification of market opportunities and the development of strategies to capitalize on them.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing plans for all product lines.
       
  • Financial Management:
    • Construct and administer budgets for all divisions, ensuring effective financial management and accountability.
    • Monitor financial performance and take proactive measures to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
    • Demonstrate strong financial acumen in managing the overall profitability of the MedScience Distribution business.
       
  • Relationship Management:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, government agencies, industry officials, and other stakeholders.
    • Manage new and existing client relationships, from product definition to contract execution and ongoing account management.
    • Build and nurture relationships with key customers and principals, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
       
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Lead and manage the implementation of activities approved in the Business Plan, ensuring timely and effective execution.
    • Ensure that the Service Department operates efficiently and effectively, delivering best-in-class service to customers.
    • Incorporate the company’s standards of excellence into daily work, fostering a Total Quality environment.

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferable, with relevant professional qualifications being a strong asset.
