Marketing Manager
Job description
The Marketing Manager plays a critical role in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive brand growth and market expansion across the company’s product portfolio.
This role is responsible for product positioning, market intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration with sales, medical affairs, and regulatory teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and a proven track record of launching and managing brands in competitive markets.
2. Key Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth

Lead product launches and manage the full product lifecycle

Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other key stakeholders
-
Collaborate with the sales team to develop marketing materials, tools, and training resources
-
Monitor and analyse marketing campaign performance and optimise activities accordingly
-
Plan and execute marketing initiatives including digital campaigns, congress participation, and symposia
-
Liaise with global and regional marketing teams to ensure alignment of strategy and messaging
3. Work Experience
Experience
-
15+ years of marketing experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
-
Demonstrated experience in strategic brand planning and execution across multiple therapeutic areas
-
Strong understanding of the Irish pharmaceutical market; experience within biosimilars is highly desirable
Product Launch & Lifecycle Management
-
Proven track record in product launches, portfolio management, and lifecycle management
-
Experience managing end-to-end launch planning including messaging, positioning, promotional tools, and cross-functional alignment
-
Ability to manage brand transitions or phase-out strategies across different stages of the product lifecycle
Market & Competitive Analysis
-
Strong analytical background with experience identifying market opportunities through data-driven insights
-
Ability to develop targeted marketing strategies based on segmentation and unmet patient or clinician needs
Stakeholder & KOL Engagement
-
Experience building and maintaining relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare professionals
-
Engagement with patient organisations and development of meaningful partnership initiatives
-
Experience organising advisory boards, symposia, and scientific meetings
Campaign & Channel Management
-
Experience in PR initiatives and integrated marketing campaigns
-
Strong background in digital and multichannel marketing
-
Experience executing omnichannel strategies including CRM, digital content, and virtual engagement platforms
-
Ability to track KPIs and optimise campaign performance
4. Skills and Specifications
-
Strong understanding of the Medicines Ireland Code of Conduct and pharmaceutical industry regulations
-
Familiarity with Veeva Promomats and Salesforce systems is desirable
-
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
-
Experience with design tools such as Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator is advantageous
-
Ability to understand complex scientific data and market dynamics
-
Scientific background in Immunology is desirable but not essential

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills
5. Education

Bachelor’s degree required

Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a Science-related field preferred
