Business Development Manager - Anywhere in Ireland

We are working exclusively with a Medical Packaging Company based in the Midlands, who are seeking to find a Business Development Manager with drive and ambition to join their team. This is a very exciting time to join this company as they are at a pivotal phase of significant expansion.

Please note: To be considered you must have experience in packaging within any of the following: Medical, FMCG, Polymer, Labelling or secondary packaging.

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth by creating new business across Ireland.

Leveraging your expertise in the industry, you will identify new business opportunities, cultivate partnerships, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a pivotal role in shaping their market presence in Ireland.


  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share across Ireland.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and engaging with medical device manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies across Ireland.
  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align sales initiatives with company objectives and ensure seamless execution.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments to anticipate challenges and capitalise on emerging opportunities.
  • Business Trips (mainly Europe) on occasions.



  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the medical sector with a strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and industry regulations.
  • Technical acumen and strong understanding of the medical devices industry in particular medial packaging industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, achieve revenue targets, and drive business growth in a competitive market environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and empower team members, foster a collaborative work environment, and drive results.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Europe as required
