Job description
Job Title: Development Lab Analyst
Contract: Fixed Term
Location: Dublin
One of our leading pharmaceutical clients is looking to hire a Development Lab Analyst on a fixed term basis. This role will join a team in the Development Lab, and will work on method development and non-routine testing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Design, execute and analyse experiments.
Maintain comprehensive record of own work.
Develop documentation, specifications, test methods and QC procedures for the testing of new materials and finished products.
Perform method development, optimisation and/or validation on raw materials and finished products.
Support and troubleshoot methods throughout their first application.
Train development lab and QC staff so they can successfully implement methods.
Versatility to assist with training, sample management and protocol/report writing functions.
Troubleshoot method/instrumentation.
Participating in project and cross departmental meetings.
Demonstrate good scientific judgement and initiative in achievement of defined objectives.
Identify problems, bring possible solutions of problems to the development laboratory supervisor and propose possible future course of action.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Science or a related discipline.
2+ years’ experience in a pharmaceutical environment with extensive experience of analytical testing, demonstrating excellent knowledge of analytical testing techniques.
Strong background in method development and validation for HPLC, GC and UPLC.
Proficient in operating and troubleshooting a wide variety of analytical instrumentation.
Full understanding of cGMP requirements, ICH guidelines.
