Construction Plant Fitter

Exciting opportunities for a qualified construction plant fitter with Ireland’s leading supplier of Heavy Construction Equipment and Machinery. Candidates must possess a National Craft Certificate in Construction Plant Machinery. Training provided and opportunities to progress within the organisation. You will initially commence in the workshop, following training and development, there are opportunities to work as Field Service Fitters for those suitably qualified. Experience in a Heavy Plant Machinery, mechanical or HGV environment is desirable. Open to applications from those recently qualified or about to qualify.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Follow safe systems of work, take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others.
  • Maintenance and repair of all company products, namely Crawler Excavators, Wheeled Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Articulated Hauliers, Teleporters, Material Handlers and Hydraulic Hammers.
  • Maintenance and repair of all components within our products, engines, transmissions, axles and hydraulic systems.
  • Work with all electrical systems ECU’s CAN bus systems etc.
  • Service, repair and overhaul of brake systems, fuel systems and steering systems.
  • Test new machinery and carry out pre delivery inspections.
  • Participate fully in all training and development programs and cross skilling for other jobs related competencies.
  • Physically fit to complete the above responsibilities in line with our H&S practices.
  • Maintain all paperwork in relation to jobs accurately and efficiently on our ERP system.
  • Proactive in relation to reporting faults and additional works required to line manager.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships as an ambassador for the company.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • Fully qualified with recognised trade certificate
  • Full Clean Driving Licence desirable. (Trailor category advantageous)
  • Diagnostic abilities.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Previous experience in service and maintenance of Plant machinery an advantage.
  • Demonstrate good work practices including safety awareness, time keeping, tidiness, responsibility, quality awareness.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Committed and positive attitude to work.
  • Must have existing authorisations to live and work in Ireland
  • Fluency in English
