The Country Medical Manager position is a permanent, hybrid role within our company. As the Country Medical Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and building strong working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in Ireland. Your main objective will be to facilitate a mutually beneficial exchange of information on our products, disease areas, and the wider specialist medical arena in which our company operates. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating medical and clinical information on our products, both before and after launch, in compliance with the IPHA Code of Practice. This role may also involve additional assignments related to pharmacovigilance, medical information, and medical affairs activities.
Requirements:
- A PhD is strongly preferred, although a degree in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, or the pharmaceutical/life sciences is required.
- Previous experience in a similar role, clinical research, or any other role where you have demonstrated strong evidence of leading interactions with healthcare professionals.
- Strong commercial acumen, enabling strategic alignment of company goals with KOL activities. This includes ensuring that KOL/OL interactions are approached in a manner that supports overall company objectives.
- Ability to seamlessly integrate into the senior management team of a small affiliate, displaying a can-do attitude, strong leadership skills, and a commanding presence.
- Possession of a full driving license.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software products.
- Proven experience in presenting complex scientific information to healthcare professionals, including Thought Leaders.
- Ability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new therapy areas and environments.
- Knowledge of the Irish Healthcare System and the pharmaceutical industry.
This is a full-time office-based position, with occasional travel to various locations depending on business needs.
