Engineering Manager
My client, an established manufacturing specialist in Westmeath, are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The Engineering Manager is a member of the Plant Management Team with specific responsibility to deliver effective leadership and support plant wide in the areas of Process and Project Engineering, Maintenance, Blow Moulding, Tooling and Automation.
Key Responsibility

• Provide engineering and technical leadership on product and process issues

• Directly supervise, lead and develop a cross functional team of engineering resources supporting production

• Prioritise, plan and schedule all work. Foster a culture of proactive rather reactive action amongst the team.

• Implement robust systems to improve the reliability and repeatability of manufacturing processes

• Use data to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement in process performance

• Create and maintain an engineering & maintenance management system using best practice principles to achieve organisational goals

• Provide strong support for New Production Introduction (NPI) programmes

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering

• Project Management certification preferably

• Experience: Total of 4-5+ years of related, progressive experience with process and expansion projects.

• Demonstrated communication, leadership and organizational skills.

• Comfortable managing multiple tasks, a team player and a problem solver.
