Force Recruitment have partnered with one of the top biopharmaceutical companies, who is currently on a look out for an environmental lead for the new SDP Project in Dublin.
The purpose of the position is to successfully implement and ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency of the Environment Management System, plans and processes within the Sterile Drug Product (SDP) Project.
The environmental senior specialist will be accountable for assurance of the environmental aspects of assigned projects through the delivery phase of the project lifecycle.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide environmental professional, technical and specialist advice to project stakeholders.
Assist in the implementation of the Environmental Management system, policies, and procedures.
Identify, develop, and deliver environmental training awareness and educational programs.
Coordinate with Environmental operational team to ensure ongoing compliance of site regulatory licenses, permits and planning conditions.
Implement appropriate statistical methodologies and environment tools to monitor and improve project and business performance.
Provide environmental advice on procurement strategies and review tender submissions.
Analyze and report on environmental compliance and performance of projects.
Oversee the completion of corrective actions to ensure action is being taken and completed.
Participate in the internal audit system to ensure audits are being conducted, issues actioned, and acted upon. including assisting with the annual system audits
Manage document control systems to ensure compliance to the site and project processes and procedures and prepare Monthly Environment Reports and KPI’s.
Review environmental management documentation (Construction Environment Management Plans (CEMP), Waste Management Plans, Environmental Work Method Statements (EWMS), consistency assessments etc.) to ensure compliance to the project Environmental Impact Assessment.
Conduct site inspections and internal audits ensuring OFI and /or non-conformances are understood, and corrective/preventative actions are completed.
Conduct surveillance of projects according to the environmental risk profile and project CEMP, WMP and Environmental Work Method Statements.
Conduct incident investigations. Provide analysis of incident root cause and provide recommendations for improvements and interventions. Conduct an evaluation of contractor investigations relating to hierarchy of control and root cause identification.
Participate in risk assessments as per program or project scope, prior to finalization of design and during construction and commissioning.
Deliver training programs including program inductions for projects as per timeline.
Prepare and distribute environmental alerts, guidelines and other information to sites and key stakeholders as required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/EDUCATION
Formal Environmental Discipline Qualification
Environmental system management experience on construction projects in Familiar with environmental and sustainability standards and frameworks such as LEED and BREEAM
Working experience of environmental migration measures on large construction projects.
A thorough understanding of large process operations with a working knowledge of environmental and waste management regulations and the implementation best practice standards for waste management including solid and liquid waste disposal, and other environmental aspects such as air, water, soil issues.
Process driven, system thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and interconnectivity of the system required.
High-level attention to detail and ability to prioritize deliverables.
Demonstrates a passion for the Environment and Sustainability, driving innovation and a desire to positively influence and develop those around them.
