Permanent Role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing financial and tax compliance processes across the business, including PRSI, PAYE, RCT, and VAT. You will oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of payments and receipts. The role also includes responsibility for managing the month-end close process.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, FCA, or CPA).

Strong technical accounting knowledge.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and financial management software.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Ability to work independently, multitask, and solve problems effectively.

Eagerness to learn, develop, and take ownership of responsibilities.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and reporting skills.

Proven ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and mentor a team within the Finance Department.

Coordinate and manage monthly management accounts, including analysis of P&L, balance sheet, budgets, and cashflows.

Maintain and improve internal control processes to meet best practice standards.

Ensure all finance data is accurate and GDPR-compliant.

Manage internal and external audit processes.
-
Reconcile internal systems with finance platforms; investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Collaborate with commercial, service, operations, and design teams to understand business drivers.

Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and reporting processes.

Support the Financial Controller with forecasting, budgeting, and planning.

Take ownership of ad hoc financial projects as needed.

Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and obligations – PRSI, PAYE, VAT, RCT.

Perform account reconciliations and resolve issues promptly.

Generate and manage weekly/monthly financial reports, providing insights to support business decisions and cost-efficiency.
