Job description
Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Location: Co. Kildare
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance
operations across its fleet, plant, and facilities. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, safety,
and eMiciency of all equipment supporting our quarry operations and road surfacing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the maintenance and servicing of HGVs, construction plant, and site equipment.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
• Lead and supervise a team of fitters, mechanics, and support staM.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage maintenance budgets, procurement of parts, and contractor relationships.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and service history.
• Coordinate emergency repairs and ensure rapid response to breakdowns.
• Liaise with project managers and site supervisors to align maintenance with operational
needs.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices and asset performance.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in a maintenance management role, ideally within quarry construction or
Civil Engineering sectors.
• Strong technical knowledge of HGVs, plant machinery, and workshop operations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in maintenance planning and asset management systems.
• Full clean driving licence (HGV licence desirable).
• Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, plant maintenance, or a related field.
Desirable:
• Experience with hydraulic systems, diagnostics, and compliance inspections.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and safety audits.
• Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (flexibility required for occasional overtime or emergency callouts).
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
