Project Manager - Waterford

My client, a medical device manufacturing multinational, is recruiting a Project Manager to join their Engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Creating project plans that outline tasks, timelines and resources; Communicate project plans, risks and issues to the project team and stakeholders;
Monitor progress against scope, schedule and cost;
Improve the overall delivery of a portfolio of projects.

In addition some key duties:

  • Develop detailed project scopes and objectives.

  • Ensure technical feasibility of all project tasks.  

  • Coordinate internal resources and those of third parties/ vendors.

  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in scope schedule and costs.

  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.

  • Review and submit budget estimates, progress and cost tracking reports to management stakeholders

  • Communicate on all aspects of a project’s progress and escalate issues as appropriate.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

  • Provide guidance on best Project Management techniques.   

  • Be the ‘go to’ person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline

  • Oversight of a portfolio of major capital projects.

  • Working with a broad range of internal stakeholders and contractors 


Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering (required).

  • Project Management certification.
    PMP qualification from PMI preferred.

  • Specialized Training in areas such as Project Management, Validation or Negotiation preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Project (and related software) for project tracking and communication.

  • Experience: Total of 5+ years of related, progressive experience.

  • Knowledge of the compliance requirements of the medical device and related industries.

  • Demonstrated communication, leadership and organizational skills.

  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks, a team player and a problem solver.
