Purchasing Manager - Plumbing
We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our team in Cork City. This role is responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects within the assigned portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy: Support procurement strategy development and implementation.
- Market Insight: Monitor industry trends, competition, and emerging technologies to inform procurement decisions.
- Range Management: Maintain a competitive and innovative product assortment.
- Supply & Fulfilment: Oversee procurement processes, demand forecasting, and supply chain management to ensure on-time, in-full delivery.
- Inventory & Cost Optimisation: Manage stock levels, negotiate pricing and contracts, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Pricing & Performance Management: Optimise pricing strategies, track performance, and drive continuous improvement.
- Supplier & Customer Engagement: Build strong supplier relationships and collaborate on customer-centric initiatives.
- Team Collaboration & Administration: Work cross-functionally to support procurement needs and handle purchasing administration.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Senior Purchasing Management, preferably in wholesale/retail.
- Strong procurement, negotiation, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with ERP systems.
