Shift Technician (Electrical, Mechanical or Automation) Westmeath - Permanent
Scope:
Providing technical support to ensure efficient running of production on a 24/7 shift.
Responsibilities:

• Providing technical assistance to ensure smooth production under the supervision of the Chargehand during shifts.

• Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and material handling systems for blow moulding machines.

• Repairing auxiliary equipment like grinders, conveyors, and finishing cells when necessary.

• Conducting preventative maintenance on blow moulding machines and making adjustments to the blow moulding process to optimize production.

• Recording and reporting downtime and quality issues.

• Assisting in product, process, and equipment analysis and improvement projects.

• Collaborating within a team to address ongoing issues and spearhead enhancements in design, layout, and operational efficiency.

• Reduction in machine downtime percentage resulting from troubleshooting and preventative maintenance efforts.

• Successful implementation of process improvement projects leading to heightened efficiency and decreased downtime.

Requirements:

• Level 6 trade in Electrical, Automation or mechanical / maintenance fitter ideally

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is an advantage

• Full training provided
