Logistics & Supply Chain Administrator – Longford 

A privately owned Irish manufacturing company based in Longford is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics & Supply Chain Administrator to join its dynamic team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth flow of materials, finished products, and information across the supply chain. You will support day-to-day logistics operations, maintain accurate inventory records, and coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to meet delivery, quality, and cost targets. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with documentation requirements. 

  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport companies to arrange collections, deliveries, and customs clearance where required. 

  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system, monitoring stock levels and highlighting discrepancies. 

  • Support production planning by ensuring materials and components are available in line with manufacturing schedules. 

  • Process purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices in accordance with company procedures. 

  • Assist with demand forecasting and supply planning activities. 

  • Monitor and track shipments, resolving delivery or documentation issues promptly. 

  • Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance with ISO 13485 and ISO 14001 requirements. 

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and supply chain function. 

  • Provide administrative support to the supply chain and operations teams as required. 

 

Requirements 

  • Minimum of a Leaving Certificate; third-level qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred. 

  • 2+ years’ experience in a logistics, supply chain, or materials administration role (manufacturing environment preferred). 

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP/MRP systems (MFG Pro an advantage). 

  • Knowledge of import/export processes, incoterms, and customs documentation is desirable. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
