Territory Manager

Job description

Pharma is seeking an experienced Territory Manager who will be responsible for all customer facing activity (Primary care, Secondary and Pharmacy)  in their assigned territory, the management of relationships with all stakeholders and advancement of the company’s profile and status within the territory. They are wholly responsible and accountable for sales volume performance within their territory, together with the ongoing deployment of their budgeted resources to best effect to achieve maximum return on investment.


Role Responsibilities: 

  • Sales and promotion of client’s products to health professionals on an agreed territory

  • Developing excellent business relationships with all of our customers is a key element of the role

  • Identifying and validating target customers and target accounts that are most important to drive business outcomes. 

  • Planning and delivering deployment of budget spend to drive the strongest return on investment in line with the IPHA code of practice. 

  • Positioning and selling company brands in line with the brand plans and makes full and effective use of promotional materials. 

  • Planning and gaining hospital referrals from key departments to a level that has a positive influence on primary care prescribing. 

  • Developing, maintaining and recording an accurate and current understanding of all HSE organisational structures within the Territory including affiliations, pathfinders, funding flows and purchasing process 

  • Responsible for ensuring that Management are at all times kept up to date on all significant trends and developments related to their territory 


Requirements:

Essential

  • Experience of working in a customer facing role - Secondary care experience

  • Degree level educated (or equivalent). 

  • High level of personal drive and passion for achieving results. 

  • Demonstrable evidence of continued personal development. 

  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills. 

  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team. 

  • Full driving licence.  

  • Competent user of Microsoft Office software products and is able to adapt quickly and to embrace evolving technologies (CRM, digital media, social media etc.) as an integral part of operating within role. 

  • Ability to quickly and comprehensively learn about new therapy areas and environments. 

  • Knowledge of the Irish National Healthcare System and the pharmaceutical industry. 


Desirable

  • Working experience of the IPHA Code of practice relevant to the role is desired. 

  • Advanced Presentation skills (Powerpoint) 

  • Advanced Spreadsheet skills (Excel)
