Warehouse Operative

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities
To assist the Warehouse Manager with the movement of goods, products and materials within the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities   
  • To pick and pack orders
  • Duties involve regular repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting and carrying.
  • Ensures that product inspection functions are performed efficiently to meet with Company's quality standards.
  • Inspect products and report the results from products return.
  • To be responsible for receiving and inspection of deliveries and ensuring that safe unloading procedures are followed.
  • To ensure that incoming materials are stored, stacked and distributed according to company procedures and instruction from the Warehouse Manager.
  • To manage stock levels by participating in stock taking and cycle counting.
  • To prepare finished goods for packing and despatch.
  • To process all necessary documentation within the Warehouse and complete all relevant system transactions.
  • To represent the company/department in an appropriate manner at all times when dealing with suppliers, couriers, customers and colleagues.
  • Report damaged packaging to ensure product quality for the customer.
  • Assist in warehouse audits to ensure they are performed accurately and efficiently.
  • To work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
  • To keep work area clean and tidy.
  • To maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards.
  • To achieve the targets and job standards set out by Manager.
  • To be adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
  • To perform any reasonable request from Manager or designee.
