Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis. This role involves supporting our accounts payable and receivable functions, preparing weekly payroll, monitoring customer billing reports, and handling VAT and excise duty reclaims.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process invoices and payments.
Manage and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Payroll Assistance:
Compile and process timesheets.
Ensure accurate payroll processing.
Billing and Reclaims:
Review billing reports and address discrepancies.
Prepare VAT reclaims for EU purchases.
Reclaim excise duty on fuel purchases.
Invoice Reconciliation:
Verify shipping invoices against transport records.
Resolve any discrepancies.
General Support:
Provide administrative support.
Assist with office management tasks such as filing and data entry.
Requirements:
Experience:
1-2 years in a similar role.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Excel.
Experience with Sage and Brightpay is a plus.
Attributes:
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective time management and initiative.
