Clinical Service & Support Specialist

Our client, based in Banbury, is an established leader in medical and scientific distribution and is seeking a Clinical Service / Support Specialist to join their growing Clinical & Life Sciences team. Working closely with the Laboratory Sales Team, you’ll play a key role in driving business development and supporting customers across the UK.
You’ll be working across a broad range of laboratory solutions—such as laboratory fridges/freezers, blood analysers, reagents, and related technologies—serving NHS and Life Science laboratory customers. This is a hybrid role with 20–40% travel, combined with regular office collaboration in Banbury.

Please note this hybrid role requiring 2 days in the office in Banbury and travel to clients as required.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting tender and contract submissions

  • Delivering laboratory-based education and product training

  • Organising and assisting with product demonstrations and customer evaluations

  • Responding to customer RFIs (Requests for Information)

  • Providing administrative and general support to the sales team

  • Liaising with suppliers and internal teams on project requirements

  • Delivering product application and technical support

  • Maintaining well-organised documentation, team files, and opportunity pipelines

  • Communicating proactively with colleagues to ensure smooth project progression

Previous Experience/Qualifications:

  • They’re looking for someone with hands-on laboratory experience (ideally with exposure to IVD or diagnostic equipment) who is ready to transition into a more customer-centric role.

  • Someone eager to build relationships and represent a respected name in the sector.

Suitable candidates may currently be working as:

  • Laboratory Technician

  • Medical Laboratory Assistant

  • Biomedical Scientist or Research Scientist

  • Chemist or Microbiologist

  • Scientific Quality Control / Assurance Specialist

  • Or in a similar laboratory-based function

Additional Information:

  • Please note this is a full-time, permanent, remote role with core hours of Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm with flexibility required for business travel.

  • 2 days per week in the office in Banbury with 20-40% travel to clients.

  • Company car or car allowance.

  • Bonus of £6k (based on division achieving budget)
