Health & Safety Specialist
Location: Dunboyne, Co. Meath

We are partnering with our Client in looking for an experienced EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Specialist to join the team at its Biologics site in Co. Meath. This contract role is key to driving site-wide compliance with regulatory and corporate safety standards while supporting the transition to mature, sustaining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead implementation of MSD’s global EHS standards with a focus on biosafety, chemical management, industrial hygiene, and process safety.

• Perform EHS gap assessments, audits, and ensure full regulatory and corporate compliance.

• Manage high-risk work and contractor safety procedures.

• Oversee EHS elements of new product introductions, including Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSER).

• Support site-wide EHS training programs and reporting using platforms like Power BI, Enablon, and Workday.

• Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and promote a proactive safety culture.

Requirements:

• Degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field (EHS post-grad preferred).

• 5+ years' EHS experience in pharma, biotech, chemicals, or other regulated industries.

• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and ability to lead cross-functional change.

• Experience using EHS systems and tools, with excellent communication and project management skills.
