We are seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Steel Detailer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team in Westmeath. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in structural steel detailing and a strong working knowledge of SolidWorks/CAD Systems . This is an office-based role requiring a detail-oriented individual who can work efficiently on a variety of structural steel projects.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Steel Detailer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team in Westmeath. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in structural steel detailing and a strong working knowledge of SolidWorks/CAD Systems . This is an office-based role requiring a detail-oriented individual who can work efficiently on a variety of structural steel projects.
- Produce accurate structural steel fabrication drawings using SolidWorks
- Interpret architectural and structural engineering drawings and specifications
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models for steel structures, assemblies, and components
- Generate bill of materials (BOMs) and erection drawings for workshop and site use
- Liaise with engineers, fabricators, and project managers to ensure drawing accuracy and constructability
- Ensure all detailing complies with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements
- Revise drawings based on mark-ups, site feedback, or design changes
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines
- Proven experience in structural steel detailing (Conveyor Systems, Commercial Railings, Stairways and Stairwells, Platforms, Walkways)
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (experience with other 3D modeling software is an advantage)
- Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes for structural steel
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
- Prior experience in a fabrication or construction environment
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Location: Office-based role in Westmeath
- Environment: Fast-paced and collaborative engineering and fabrication office
