Technical Sales Representative

Role Overview

A leading hazardous waste management and solvent recycling organisation is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support commercial growth and strengthen the client base across industrial, pharmaceutical, automotive, and manufacturing sectors.

This role is suited to a proactive, technically confident sales professional who can generate new business, manage existing accounts, and provide technical guidance on waste classification, compliance, and treatment capabilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities and grow the customer base

  • Manage and expand existing client accounts

  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions

  • Conduct site visits, waste audits, and technical assessments

  • Advise clients on hazardous waste regulations, ADR, and EPA compliance

  • Provide technical guidance on waste classification and treatment options

  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts

  • Work closely with operations and technical teams to ensure accurate waste profiling and service delivery

  • Maintain CRM records, forecasts, and sales activity reports


Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical sales, business development, or account management

    • Experience in waste, environmental, chemical, or industrial sectors preferred

  • Strong understanding of hazardous waste regulations and classification

  • Ability to interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS), waste codes, and technical specifications

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Relevant technical or environmental qualification is an advantage

  • Full clean driving licence

  • Willingness to travel nationwide
