Territory Manager - Capital - North

Our client is a leading medical and scientific distribution company focused on delivering innovative, value-added solutions to the UK market that now requires a Territory Manager for the North of the UK to join their Capital equipment team.
As a Territory Manager for the Northern Territory, you will play a key role in driving the growth and retention of business within your region. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with both existing and new clients, promoting products and solutions, and achieving sales targets. This is a field-based role with 60-75% travel, where you will work closely with customers on product demos, trials, and face-to-face meetings. The product range includes large capital equipment, primarily operating tables, as well as monitoring and surgical headlights.
Please note that candidates must live in the North of the UK, as the territory covered spans from Leicester to Newcastle.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Promote and develop the product portfolio to an agreed target market within the Healthcare sector.
- Increase overall sales volume of products within a designated regional territory by attaining or exceeding established sales budgets and objectives.
- Gain In-depth product knowledge of product features, benefits, demonstrations, pricing and promotions.
- Present product portfolio to customer groups as agreed with the Manager.
- Build knowledge of territory and competitors
- Provide technical expertise to customers.
- Develop excellent business relationships with all customers.
- Develop and maintain all new and existing accounts within the territory.
- Report to, and work closely with your direct line manager and sales team (sales activity and pipeline reporting, regular telephone and video call contact).
- Develop and layout customer proposals, tenders and quotations.
- Provide feedback to your line manager relating to your territory strategy, customer status and competition activity, including weekly call reports and journey plans.
- Provide positive and constructive collaboration and communication with both internal and external staff and customers.
- Identify and follow up on business potential and opportunities, including organising and running meetings.
- Develop medical knowledge relevant to key surgical specialities
- Develop key customer network & assist in developing KOLs and reference sites, as part of the strategy to penetrate the market with new products.
- Active participation in training programmes and input into their formulation.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent standard- Medical or Science Degree desirable.
- Strong commercial background demonstrated by previous commercial achievements.
- Experience of operating theatre environment.
- Goal orientated, independent and commercially driven.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to adapt plans to suit business demands.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to learn and retain product specific information as it pertains to the position.
- Computer literate with knowledge of word processing applications and Excel spreadsheets.
- Must be located on assigned territory.
- A full UK driving license is required, with the ability to travel frequently within the Northern Territory (60-75% travel).
- Please note this is a full-time, permanent, remote role with core hours of Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm, but flexibility is required for business travel.
