IT Support Engineer

Full-time, Permanent Role
Location- Mullingar
***You must be living in Ireland, or hold Stamp 4 to be eligible for this role***
Force have partnered with one of the leading contracts manufacturing client based in Mullingar, who is currently on a look out for an IT Support Engineer.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing the automation of system and application installations
- Maintenance of the ServiceDesk ticketing system
- Managing the work of the subordinate team
- Managing backup systems for workstations and laptops
- Managing IT resources and planning their procurement
- Leading and participating in internal IT projects
- Second-level user support using the helpdesk system
- Oversight of office and production applications
- Diagnosing hardware and software issues
- Ensuring IT system security based on best practices
- Creating, organizing, and optimizing IT documentation in English
- Analyzing IT requests and projects for the business
- Training employees in the use of IT systems
Our requirements:
- Higher education (preferably in computer science or electronics)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Communication skills, independence, highly developed interpersonal abilities
- Experience in resolving daily user requests
- Very good command of the English language in both speech and writing
- Ability to work in a team
- Very good organizational skills
- Very good knowledge of server and client systems from the Windows family, MS Office suite, and backup systems
- Good knowledge of computer hardware, network solutions, and scripting languages
- Proactive attitude and creativity in creating new solutions
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in IT resource management
- Experience working with GAMP/FDS and validated systems
