Pharmacy Territory Manager

One of Ireland’s leading healthcare sales, marketing and distribution companies is seeking a Territory Manager to join their Skincare and Beauty sales team for the North and North West region. This is an exciting time to join this well-known and established business as it embarks on a new period of growth.

The Territory Manager will call on a varied customer base across the assigned region including pharmacies, clinics, salons, retail partners and other relevant sales channels. They will manage their territory and customer base, ensuring delivery of strong sales growth in each account (year on year and to budget) and enhancement of the company’s reputation and its represented brands in accordance with business plans and strategic direction.

As a result, the individual will have responsibility for sales, listings, distribution, in-store merchandising, planogram implementation and compliance, standard primary and incremental secondary space, permanent availability of defined must-stock SKUs, implementation of promotions, training, competitor and market analysis, and other related activities.

They will also be responsible for developing new business opportunities, opening new customer accounts and expanding existing ones. An active new business development pipeline is required to be developed, implemented and maintained.

All performance will be measured and evaluated against clearly defined role KPIs.


Key Responsibilities

Driving Sales – Selling In and Selling Out

  • Deliver strong year-on-year growth by achieving individual account and overall territory targets

  • Build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders within the customer base

  • Drive rate of sell-in to trade customers and proactively influence sell-out to end consumers using proven sales techniques

  • Maintain strong relationships with pharmacies, skincare clinics, beauty professionals and retail partners

  • Identify incremental sales opportunities and, where additional investment is required, present a clear business rationale to management

  • Identify new leads and business opportunities within the territory and convert them into sales


Territory and Account Management

  • Own and manage a defined territory journey plan and call frequency schedule

  • Implement company and individual sales plans to achieve territory and account targets


Driving and Maximising Availability

  • Ensure each customer stocks the agreed core must-stock range (all-year-round, seasonal and promotional)

  • Implement agreed planograms, monitor compliance and take corrective action where required


Displays & Incremental Space

  • Merchandise stock to ensure optimal in-store positioning to maximise sales

  • Build secondary, seasonal and all-year-round displays to drive incremental sales

  • Ensure correct and up-to-date POS is in place at all times


Reporting and Administration

  • Complete all reporting and administrative tasks to agreed deadlines

  • Submit weekly sales reports and monthly territory business reports

  • Create and update journey planning and call frequency schedules weekly

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and stock information

  • Submit orders daily and monitor order status

  • Report on distribution, compliance and account activity through CRM or sales information systems

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years’ territory sales experience within beauty, healthcare distribution, skincare/dermo-cosmetics or FMCG

  • Proven ability to manage accounts, build relationships and influence senior stakeholders

  • Demonstrated success in new business development and conversion

  • Experience working with consumer-facing brands and executing best-in-class sales strategies

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills

  • Proficient with modern selling tools, CRM systems and sales technologies

  • Highly commercial, analytical and numerate

  • Full clean Irish driving licence

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
